Put It in Motion
Feedback-direct or indirect-can help you decide: now, not right now, or this isn't for me.
Learn it.
Apply it.
Adjust it.
Put it in motion.
Share snippets of the motion to get feedback.
Adjust again.
Continue the motion.
Refine it over time.
Sometimes it’s not for you.
Other times, it’s just not right now.
And you may have to circle back later.
Take notes. Learn from it. Keep moving.
That isn’t always failure.
But don’t become that person.
You know the one.
“I’m about to…”
“I’m trying to…”
‘I’m gonna…”
There’s nothing wrong with getting an idea outside of your head and asking someone you trust for feedback.
Just be carful how you frame it.
Ideas can be stolen.
People can talk you into something-or out of something-while you’re still in the learning, experimenting and trial-and-error phase.
Not every idea needs an audience before it has a chance to become something.
Sometimes you need to learn it, apply it, adjust it, and put it in motion before you invite everyone else into the process.
Move quietly when you need to.
Take the feedback.
Make the necessary adjustments.
